Last extensions are made from synthetic fibers, which are attached to individual natural lashes. They create drama, length, fullness, definition, colour, and define and shape your eyes.
Lash Extensions are safe when applied correctly and safely. Each natural lash needs to be carefully isolated while the extension is being applied. Isolation ensures the natural lash is safe from irritation and discomfort as it grows out naturally. Correct aftercare is essential for the health of your natural lashes and in keeping your extensions looking nice. See Aftercare tab for care products available.
Almost everyone can get eyelash extensions.
If you’re suffering from contraindications that will not allow you to have lash extensions safely applied you will not be able to have extensions. This can be because you are suffering alopecia, having chemo, eye disease, skin irritations, allergies to lash adhesive etc.
You‘re with Parental consent able to get lash extensions from 16 years old ( please be mindful that the parent/guardian will need to be present during appointment times and sign all forms for the service)
If you have the following:
Lash extensions are not recommended and will not be applied unless a patch test is performed prior to any appointment being confirmed due to health and safety risks.
If you suffer from the following:
Irritation and sensitivity can occur.
Please be aware that rubbing and scratching your eyes can lead to lash extensions being pulled our along with your natural lash. To avoid any further irritation or potential irritations it is best suggested to wait until symptoms have cleared up.
YES! ABSOLUTELY YOU CAN!
I am more than accommodating for you and your ever changing body. I have a very comfortable chair and i have cushions available for you to place under your back, belly, between your knees. or if you feel comfortable you're welcome to bring your pregnancy pillow with you.
Please note that as you are pregnant and your hormones are changing rapidly, this can affect the retention of your extensions, and can put you at more risk of having a reactions. This also goes for Lash Lifts the lift may not hold for the recommended time frame it usually would. Also not recommended that you get lamination's done during pregnancy as they chemical is applied on the skin. alternatives for lamination would be to purchase the Brow Heist Soap available in salon that will give you that beautiful laminated finish to your brows.
To reassure you, NO lash extensions do not hurt. It is a non-invasive procedure. Most clients find it relaxing and even take a lash nap. The moment you open your eyes after the appointment is complete you shouldn't feel them at all. They should be super light weight.
Lash Extensions should be light weight and barely noticeable. If it is your first time getting extensions you will notice them slightly until you get used to them. The really dramatic Russian lash extensions should be light weight on your lashes if you notice the extensions drooping over your eye, they're too heavy and need to be removed.
Classic Lash Extensions: are single synthetic fibers applied to 1 natural lash. 1:1 Ratio
Hybrid Lash Extensions: are 3D fans mixed with classic lash extensions to create a small bit of density to the lash line on the outer corners of your eye. 3:1 and 1:1 Ratio
Russian Volume: are 2D-7D hand made fans at the time of your appointment. These are crafted and designed especially for your natural lash for each individual.
Mega Volume: are 7D-14D super fine extensions applied to the natural lash. The lash line will be super dense.
Lash Extensions in general can last up to 6 weeks, by this time they will need a full set applied and assess the extensions still attached as they may need to be removed and replaced due to the excess weight on the natural lash from being out grown.
Your lash extensions will look good for up to 4 weeks, how ever, after this time your lashes will begin to look lighter and thin out a lot and will require a full set. I do require 40% of extensions still attached to each eye for an infill in a period of 2-3 weeks. 4 weeks will require assessment and or a full set.
Infills are required every 2-3 weeks depending on your lash fall out. I require 40% of extensions left on each eye to deem as a refill. Otherwise a full set will be required. Infills are essential to keeping your lashes full and luscious as your natural lashes go through shedding cycles (60-90 days) and seasonal shedding cycles (autumn and spring). Lash fall out on average is estimated at 1-7 natural lash falling out per day. Don't stress if you see more fall out than usual during autumn and or spring this is your body regenerating a new cycle. You may see yourself coming in more regularly than 2 weeks for a fill. I will assess the lash fall and charge accordingly.
I can definitely book you in and look at your current lashes, but i will not be able to guarantee that i can fill them. I will need to assess the lash growth of the current extensions, the quality of the work from the previous technician and the health of your natural lashes.
I will advise and consult you before continuing your appointment, if i will need to remove and complete a full set or if i can complete the fill. In worst case i will advise and complete a removal and some lash growth serum if the state of the extensions have been poorly applied and the health of your natural lashes are deemed unsafe to lash. I will five you a lash growth serum to apply daily 1-2 months and can/will reassess you natural lashes health after the serum treatment. If you're not happy with taking the lashes off and doing the serum treatment, i am more than happy to leave them on and you leave free of charge.
Each lash extensions service is different, each individual has on average 150-300 on the upper lid, this can take anywhere between 1.5- 2.5 hours to complete and apply lash extensions safely, correctly and hygienically.
